The World Science Festival takes to the streets with a non-stop program of interactive exhibits, experiments, games, and shows that will entertain and inspire. Come and join us in the streets around Washington Square — it's fun, it's science, and it's free!

Visit The Scholastic Store, chat with Miss Frizzle and hop on Scholastic's Magic School Bus to explore science the Frizzle way. Meet Clifford, the Big Red Dog, and if you don't quite know what to say to him — Word Girl to the rescue! Other favorite science TV characters will be on site to greet you as well: The members of the CyberSquad from Thirteen/WNET's CyberChase invite you to their virtual world. Then there's Snook, from PBS's "It's a Big Big World," a tree sloth who's always up for scientific exploration. Don’t forget your space boots when you step inside The Zula Patrol Planetarium Dome. |

Discover your own science: play with electricity (safely!), check out a Segway, and dissect an owl pellet. All this and much more is brought to you by Liberty Science Center, the New York Hall of Science, and the Franklin Institute Science Museum. Then, let The Daily Planet from the Canadian Discovery Channel take you on an exploration of invisibility! And for a break, meet the New York City/New Jersey FIRST robotic program students, who created state-of-the-art robots that will keep you saying, “How’d they do that?” |

At Festival stages and labs throughout the Street Fair, experience engaging scientific presentations by Lynn Brunelle and Lucy Hawking, study monkeys with Laurie Santos, and check out the dynamic visual artistry of Scott Draves. Take in the Gazillion Bubbles Show, learn the secrets of Mathemagician Arthur Benjamin, and be amazed by Max Darwin’s magic tricks. Keep your eyes open for the energy-filled Power Up! Improv Troupe, and see your ideas and inventions come to life with the Howtoons crew who can create FUN with common everyday items! |

Enjoy exciting performances from Cool Rain Forest Connections and Butterfly Boogie of the Central Park Zoo Wildlife Theater and be “wowed” by the tricks of the Down with Gravity Jugglers. The iLAND dance research organization will entertain audiences of all ages with dance performances based on bird migration and The Mathematicians will keep you rockin’ with cool tunes. |
