General Counsel
Stefanie H. Roth comes to the Festival after serving as Associate General Counsel for the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation for six years. Her expertise includes the laws governing exempt organizations, non-profit governance, development and fundraising, general corporate and financing transactions, collaborations and joint ventures with for-profit and non-profit entities.
Prior to the Guggenheim, Roth worked as an associate at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton on corporate and litigation matters, and served as law clerk to the Hon. John S. Martin, Jr., United States District Court, S.D.N.Y. She is a graduate of both Harvard College, and of Harvard Law School, where she was an editor of the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review and the winning finalist in the Ames Moot Court Competition. A member of the Government Relations Sub-Committee of the Non-Profit Coordinating Committee (NPCC), Roth is also a past faculty member of the March 2006 American Law Institute-American Bar Association's Legal Issues in Museum Administration Course of Study.
