Arthur Benjamin
Mathematician, Magician & Author
Arthur Benjamin is a professor of mathematics at Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California. A professional magician, Benjamin can also multiply large numbers faster than a calculator, figure out the week day of any date in history and has memorized the decimal numbers of pi out to 100 digits. He is the author of several books, including Secrets of Mental Math.
Anointed “America’s Best Math Whiz” by Reader’s Digest, Dr. Benjamin applied his skills to the game of backgammon and won the American Backgammon Tour in 1997.
