On June 2^nd, during the 2011 Festival, New York saw the debut of BIORHYTHM: Music and the Body, a multimedia exhibition presented by Dublin, Ireland’s Science Gallery in collaboration with Eyebeam Art and Technology Center. BIORHYTHM features works by over a dozen artists whose focus is the relationship between sound and our bodies. Installations include a device that sonifies your heart rhythm into a beat to make music around, a bed that plays music directly onto the surface of your body, and a look into how your body emotionally reacts to different musical pieces.

While the Festival may be over, the BIORHYTHM exhibition will continue through the summer until August 6^th, so don’t think you missed it. The gallery hours are noon to 6pm, and admission remains free to the public.
