Hod Lipson
Roboticist
Hod Lipson works in evolutionary robotics and has created several ‘self aware’ robots. His research focuses primarily upon the application of biologically inspired approaches to engineering problems, machine self-replication and programmable self-assembly. He directs the Computational Synthesis group in the departments of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering and the faculty of Computing & Information Science of Cornell University.
