Lynn Brunelle

A four-time Emmy Award-winning writer for Bill Nye the Science Guy, Lynn Brunelle has over 20 years of writing experience. She is an award-winning author of more than 40 titles, including Pop Bottle Science, Camp Out! and The Zoo’s Shoes. In addition, she has created, developed and written projects for National Geographic, Scholastic, Random House, Penguin Putnam, A&E, The Discovery Channel, Disney, ABC TV, NPR, The Annenburg Foundation, World Almanac, Cranium and PBS, among others.

While living in New York, Brunelle served as a wildlife guide at the Central Park zoo. Her experience dealing with different environments, plants and animals helped inform the “Backpack Naturalist” section of Camp Out.! And as an avid camper with a family of her own, Brunelle has first-hand knowledge of the skills required to camp efficiently, cook delicious outdoor meals, and keep kids entertained and informed.

Lynn Brunelle lives on an island near Seattle with her husband and two sons.
