Jamie A. Grifo

Fertility Specialist

Jamie Grifo is the program director of the NYU Fertility Center. He is also director of reproductive endocrinology and a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the NYU School of Medicine. As co-director of the NYU Egg Freezing Division, he has helped lead one of the largest and most successful egg preservation programs and is currently developing a new generation of embryo screening. Grifo’s research in pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) led to the delivery of the first healthy baby in the US using the embryo biopsy procedure he developed, now used to deliver thousands of healthy babies worldwide. He is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and past president of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technologies.
