Janelle Robbins

Engineer

Janelle Robbins is the executive director at Bedford Audubon Society. She began her career championing clean water and strong communities as the staff scientist at Waterkeeper Alliance. At Bedford Audubon, she oversees conservation research and citizen science, environmental education, and habitat protection, while advocating for bird-friendly and climate-resilient communities in the lower Hudson Valley. She is a “Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design Accredited Professional” and has been named a Glamour magazine “Eco Hero.” Robbins is featured in the Green Babies books, Ten Ways to Change the World in Your Twenties, and Diet for a Hot Planet. Robbins holds a B.S. in Agricultural & Biological Engineering from Cornell University and an M.S. in Biological Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech with a focus on land and water resource conservation.
