Marine Scientist’s Apprentice

Saturday, June 4, 2016
2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

What is a fish willing to eat? Join Marine Scientist James McClintock of the University of Alabama at Birmingham to explore how sea creatures use taste to make sense of their world. Up-and-coming underwater explorers will feed fish, test chemical reactions in sea stars, and examine compounds under a microscope to see how the predator/prey relationship among ocean organisms begins on the micro level.

This is a student-only program for kids in the 4th-8th grade. Parents/Guardians should drop off their children for this one-hour event.

Supported by the Bezos Family Foundation.
