Deborah Mayer is currently the senior manager of production for the Media Department at the World Science Festival. In this position she supervises the media staff and day-to-day operations of the department, including production and post for the Festival and year-round programming, both live and for the web.
Prior to joining the WSF team, Deborah was a freelance producer with extensive experience in studio, location, and live-event production. Nominated three times for an Emmy, she has produced series and programming for the Disney Channel, Sesame Workshop, and The Jim Henson Company among others.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and received her certification in fitness and nutrition from Hunter College in New York. Deborah’s interests include theater, floral design, and photography.
