A Coat of Many Odors
Ever leave a bar or restaurant and find your clothes still carrying that telltale scent? Well, it may hang on longer than you think—along with all sorts of other smells. In a revealing piece of detective work, artist and researcher Sissel Tolaas gathered coats from many subjects and chemically analyzed the various odors still attached to them. What she found was that your coat may tell a chemical story that you may not want to tell.
