My Mind is My Best Friend and My Worst Enemy
Mental health law expert Elyn Saks often finds shelter and reprieve in work. Suffering from schizophrenia, she has learned that she can push the symptoms of her condition to the sidelines when she focuses on the tasks at hand. Coping also requires her to be able to step back and mentally assess the rogue thoughts that bubble up inside her mind.
