Spotlight: Things That Are Really There
Strip away the trimmings of a traditional science presentation, add cocktails, and you have WSF Spotlight. Here, astrophysicist Mario Livio, from the Hubble Space Telescope Science Institute, takes us on a tour of the cosmos in all its dramatic beauty and violence. The slow death of stars, supernova explosions, and galaxy-scale train wrecks are all set to Rainbow Body, the emotive masterpiece by composer Christopher Theofanidis.
