Sports fans of all ages will find something to cheer about when science and sports bring their A-games to New York University’s Cole Sport Center . Scientists and athletes explore the physics and physiology of the human body as they relate to basketball, skiing, running and more. The program’s a lively mix of action, audience participation and video, creating the excitement of a live sporting event. Olympic athletes and NBA players join professional trainers, physicists and nutritionists to demonstrate just what it takes to be the best in the world and why science is a major player.

Tom Crawford
Tom Crawford, former Director of Coaching for the United States Olympic Committee and former Senior Director of the National Institute for Fitness and Sport, is an expert on human performance in sports. Throughout his career, he has helped top athletes perform at the highest possible level.

David Eagleman
David Eagleman studies the human perception of time as well as synesthesia, a condition in which stimulation to one sense triggers an involuntary response in others. A psychologist and biomedical engineer, he is Director of the Laboratory for Perception and Action and an assistant professor of neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine.
