Thomas Horton

Mycologist

Thomas R. Horton is professor of Mycology at the State University of New York, College of Environmental Science and Forestry. His research is focused on mycorrhizal fungi, which connect the majority of the world’s plants in underground networks that are widely known as the wood wide web. His research focuses on temperate forest communities and how trees and fungi transfer nutrients through these underground networks.
