Laura Niedernhofer

Molecular Biologist

Laura Niedernhofer is Director of the Institute on the Biology of Aging and Metabolism at the University of Minnesota, where she is also a professor of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biophysics. Prior to that she was at the Scripps Research Institute, where she helped develop a new class of drugs called senolytics. These are drugs which selectively kill senescent cells, which are a key driver of aging.
