Sean Dixon

Environmental Lawyer, Oceans Activist

Sean Dixon is an attorney at Hudson Riverkeeper where he is primarily responsible for Riverkeeper’s New York City Programs. Dixon is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at Pace Law School, Senior Fellow of the Environmental Leadership Program, Volunteer SCUBA Diver at the New York Aquarium, and sits on the Council of the American Bar Association Section of Environment, Energy and Resources Law. He spent five years as co-founder of Village Fishmonger, a sustainable seafood business in NYC. Dixon received his J.D. and LL.M. from Pace Law School, where he studied environmental and climate change law, a Masters of Environmental Management in coastal ecology from Yale University’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, and a B.A. in marine biology at Boston University. He worked as the Coastal Policy Attorney at Clean Ocean Action, as an Alaskan fisheries observer, and as a Lecturer on coastal zone resource management at Yale University.
