Sheldon Krimsky

Philosopher of Science, Bioethicist

Sheldon Krimsky is a professor of Urban & Environmental Policy & Planning as well as adjunct professor of Public Health and Community Medicine at Tufts University. From 2012 to 2014, he is also a professor of philosophy at Brooklyn College, CUNY. His research has focused on the linkages among science, technology, ethics, values and public policy. Krimsky has authored several books, including Biotechnics and Society: The Rise of Industrial Genetics and Agricultural Biotechnology & the Environment. Recently, he co-authored Genetic Justice: DNA Databanking, Criminal Investigations and Civil Liberties and co-edited Race and the Genetic Revolution.
