Agricultural Scientist

Born in Canada, Susan MacIsaac graduated from the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Guelph with undergrad and graduate degrees in plant physiology. MacIsaac worked briefly following her PhD at the Agriculture and AgriFood Canada Research Station in Southern Ontario where she was a member of a team exploring new opportunities for food-grade soybeans. She enjoyed working with food scientists, breeders, and chemists and decided to pursue a career in the corporate world where she could continue to be in the team culture. More recently, she worked at the Climate Corp where she led the Discovery Sciences team, advanced new digital concepts, and led the expansion of premium science products into South America and Europe. Now as Head of Agricultural Science at Bowery, MacIsaac is on a mission to produce clean, healthy food in indoor farms.
