David Kuhn
Musician, Singer, Songwriter, Performer
David Kuhn, a musician, singer, songwriter, performer was one of the original musicians chosen for both the development and Broadway productions of Pete Townshend’s Tony Award-winning rock opera “The Who’s Tommy”. He also recorded as bass guitarist for the show’s entire Grammy Award-Winning cast album produced by George Martin, famed producer of The Beatles.
David’s consequent recognition as an accomplished instrumentalist and vocalist resulted in his being chosen to perform in several feature films and network television shows including “Out To Sea”, “The Nutty Professor”, “For The Boys”, “Friends”, “Seinfeld”, “Family Matters”, “ER”, “Beverly Hills 90210”, and the hilarious hit feature film “American Pie”. Additionally, David’s own written and composed songs have been featured in motion picture and television productions. His song “I’m So In Love With You” had a featured performance in the ABC Movie of the Week “A Deadly Vision”, and his song “Find My Way” from his CD ‘Talk It Over’ was used in the Warner Bros. network television series “7th Heaven”.
A long-time believer in education through the arts, David has performed his school programs and concerts in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and throughout Southern California. The educational school assembly program “Time Travel Through Music” (©1987, 1999 D. Kuhn) was created and performed by David in more than 80 schools for over 40,000 students. David was also the bassist for the Tony Award-winning and Grammy Award-winning hit show Monty Python’s “SPAMALOT”, and the Broadway production of “The Addams Family”. A complete list of more than 30 musicals he has done is available upon request.
Recent recording work includes many sessions for the P.S. Classics Label, Sh-k boom Records Label, and the entire film score recording for “The Informant”, starring Matt Damon.
