Ann B. Beeder

Psychiatrist, M.D.

Ann Bordwine Beeder, MD is the Chief of the Division of Public Health Programs in the Departments of Medicine and Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College and The New York Presbyterian Hospital. She develops treatment models that combine addiction treatment with medical and psychiatric care aiming to increase access, improve outcomes and decrease stigma and other obstacles faced by individuals struggling with addiction. Dr. Beeder’s current research includes developing Hepatitis C treatment strategies for active drug users with Brian Edlin MD and others, Phase 1 clinical trial of adenovirus-based cocaine vaccine with Dr. Ronald Crystal and others, quality of life measures in individuals taking suboxone, and evaluation of the Headstrong Project providing treatment to recent combat veterans with PTSD and co-morbid substance use issues. Dr. Beeder is a Nebraskan who attended Stanford University and George Washington University before completing a residency and fellowship at The New York Presbyterian Hospital. She lives in New York City and also works as a painter.
