Science writer Dean A. Haycock is the author Murderous Minds: Exploring the Criminal Psychopathic Brain: Neurological Imaging and the Manifestation of Evil, The Everything Health Guide to Adult Bipolar Disorder, The Everything Health Guide to Schizophrenia, and Characters the Couch: Exploring Psychology through Literature and Film (2016). His articles have appeared in Annals of Internal Medicine, The Lancet Neurology, Drug Discover & Development, WebMD & CNN.com. Haycock earned a Ph.D. in neurobiology from Brown University and a fellowship from the NIMH to study at The Rockefeller University. His research has been published in Brain Research, Journal of Neurochemistry, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, the Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, and other peer-reviewed academic journals.
