Physicist

Lyman Alexander Page Jr. is the James S. McDonnell Distinguished University Professor of Physics at Princeton, where his research focuses on measurements of the cosmic microwave background (CMB). Page is one of the original co-investigators on the WMAP satellite, the founding director of the Atacama Cosmology Telescope project, and a founding member of the Simons Observatory. He is the recipient of many awards and honors, including the Breakthrough Prize (2017), the Gruber Prize (2015, 2012), and the Shaw Prize (2010). He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
