Michael Halassa

Michael Halassa is the Class of 1958 Career Development Professor at MIT’s Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences, and is also an associate investigator at MIT’s McGovern Institute for Brain Research. His aim is to understand the basic architecture and the functional connections in the brain that underlie cognition, and he has identified basic circuit mechanisms for attention and decision making.
