Mindy Greenstein

Clinical Psychologist, Psycho-Oncologist

Mindy Greenstein is a clinical psychologist, psycho-oncologist, and writer, who also serves as a consultant to the geriatric group in the Department of Psychiatry at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. In addition to her academic writing, Greenstein has also written personal essays for The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Self, and other publications. Her first book, The House on Crash Corner (Greenpoint, 2011), was selected by O: The Oprah Magazine as one of its “Books to Watch For.” Her second book, Lighter as We Go: Virtues, Character Strengths, and Aging (Oxford University Press, coauthored by Jimmie Holland, M.D.), was selected by The Wall Street Journal as “one of the best books of 2014 about life after 50.” She lives in New York City with her husband and two teenage sons.
