World Science Summit
Presented by the World Science Festival and Columbia University, in collaboration with The Aspen Institute
The World Science Summit is an invitation-only conference that kicks off
the inaugural 2008 Festival by bringing together high-level scientists,
policy makers, and business, academic and cultural leaders to exchange
ideas and information about cutting-edge scientific and technological
innovations-and explore their potential for impact on the world at
large. Summit discussions and presentation themes will be driven by
scientific insights and break-throughs, focusing on the role of science
across business, government and public policy. Renowned scientists will
provide accessible and provocative explorations of the science behind
the critical issues we face, focusing on the next wave of opportunities
anticipated by scientific advances.
