Gül Dölen

NEUROSCIENTIST

Gül Dölen is an Associate Professor of Neuroscience at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her laboratory’s work focuses on how plasticity and neuromodulation govern social behavior and how psychedelic drugs can treat diseases of the social brain like PTSD and addiction. Recently, her team made the groundbreaking discovery that MDMA can reopen a novel critical period of brain plasticity in mice, which can be potentially harnessed for therapeutic benefit in humans.
